Picked up one today at a local auto parts store. 100 Euros... FML Put it in still chasing idle and car running about the same havent noticed anything else. Took it for a drive through some twisty German roads through the mountains and the car is just so much fun. Its weird the car runs fantastic in the higher RPM's and just lumps around in the lowers.

Sounds like a dirty idle control valve and a vacuum leak. Also try resetting the DME. It has learned all sorts of bad corrections as a result of the sensor being snipped.

My no-cat free-flow-muffler m42 would do this occasionally. Although not nearly like that.
