    Will I loose piping with a muffler delete?

    I bought a e30 and the muffler was off and I like the sound, debating on getting custom piping for the exhaust or putting the muffler back on.

    Will I loose power?

          Stuff it with steel wool. I pulled about 10 extra horse with that mod.

              to a point its okay, but it will get annoying fast. dont expect any MPGs from it though. but DO expect tickets.

              back pressure is probably affected, so i would say that, yes, horsepower will be affected.

              Now, if its good or bad will be determined by the speed you are driving me thinks

                  You are not going to lose power with a muffler on a stock M42. Put one on and save yourself the hate from your neighbors.

                      I think Ill just leave it as is, I was just mainly concerned about the power. I have two other e30s so don't drive one too much
