Have not touched the throttle position screw at all. Hopefully a new O2 sensor will help. I'll be ordering one this week.

After new o2 sensor, would like to know how much your gas mileage changed.
Edit: If the car isn't getting up temp right or reading the wrong info. The fuel mixture from the DME wont be what it is suppose to be for best efficiency.

The car is running nicely, aside from the poor fuel consumption, so I'm not suspecting vacuum leaks or anything like that. Thanks for all the input.

If you haven't ordered a new o2 yet I have a used but perfectly working bosch wideband (plug and play in late models) for cheap and I'm local-ish. That MPG seems quite low even for orlando

I'm 99% sure that a wide-band sensor won't work with our cars, unless you have installed a WB controller like the LC-2 or similar.

Nope it's plug and play. I used it for a while but eventually went with an LC-1 and accompanying o2 sensor. I don't believe it's a "true" wideband, but does have a larger range than stock I believe.

Driving in the city with a lot of cold starts and stop & go traffic really kills the mpg. I get best consumption at 60-100 mph

A new O2 sensor has got me at 20mpgs for my last fill up. That was with pretty spirited city driving shifting at 3400-4000. Doesn't seem too far off from factory ratings. I'll keep monitoring it over the next few weeks. I wasn't even getting 200 miles to the tank before (and I was driving pretty conservatively) so its nice to see around 240 miles to a tank with driving that isn't slower than my grandmother.

                    Glad the o2 helped!

My car dropped overnight from getting 375 miles per tank to 290-320. I too drive like a grandma on my way to and from work. I was getting around 23mpg mixed on average. Now I'm lucky if I get 18mpg. Def gotta try a new o2 sensor.

Topped off the tank before riding around and doing errands today. After the errands I filled up the tank again so I could compare my last fill up. Drove 50.2 miles and topped off at 1.934 gallons at the end of the day, so roughly 26mpg. That was mixed driving, around 85% city and 15% highway. I know its not as accurate a test as actually running the whole tank all the way to empty, but I was anxious and wanted to see what I would average today. I shifted between 3-4k for most of the day.
