    Unplugged FPR, runs the same.

    M42 car. Lil rough idle. Unplugged the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator, car still runs the same (plugged the line with my finger to not cause a rough idle from a vacuum leak). Probably a faulty FPR, right?

    Maybe not. IIRC FPR only changes the pressure when you rev the engine.

      Fair enough. I'll rev the engine with it unplugged and see what happens.

        Not as I understand it. FPR vacuum line keeps the fuel pressure linked to intake manifold pressure at
        all times.

        The only way to really tell is put a gauge on it, then unhook it and try pulling a
        vacuum on it. Fuel pressure should be about 45 lbs - whatever vacuum you're pulling
        on the port....
