Fidhle, you dont charge enough. :)
My boss sets the price, he was only charging $60 when I started here and didn't update until last year. Keep in mind this is NH though, there are a lot of broke yankees who don't understand why you should replace calipers in pairs and such...

+1 on being inside the industry! My swap cost around $3200 but the motor/tranny was bought from a friend and all my parts where wholesale. It's a sub-100k S50 w/ ZF and UUC Stage II/M5 Clutch combo, I'd hate to think what that should have really cost...

honestly, people say diffrent things... ive heard so much diffrent shit.

and how am i supposed to "go learn some knowledge", if i'm being an ass by trying to do wha you say?

        you contradict yourself.
Once again like everyone has said you make no sense. Read my previous post again. After that read it again, and again and again.

If you think that statement contradicts itself please tell me how. Its pretty straight forward and its only 3 sentences long.

Will, It's Ryan you need to shut up and listen to these guys. They know what they are talking about. Do as they say and SEARCH it's not that hard there are hundreds of sites devoted to swapping. As for the S52 in your car your a long ways away from being able to do that. Try E3024v.com. .....I'm sorry guys he is pretty new to BMW's.

i dont plan on swapping soon, but the project is underway never the less.
it's what i have my sights set on at least, ive seen a m50 power car...
i liked, so im going with a s52, for now...thats the idea atleast

and from what i understand, the cheapest motor, the m50, are the most realible of the bunch, so i'm not sure which is the "best" motor for me, but since my budget is low, its probably going to be whatever i can find cheap, used, or wrecked.

yup, and again, sry for "not searching"

E30tech is the turbo forum, r3v is the swap forum. Just go with an M50 or M52, it will be cheaper to source (I could probably get you a decent M52 for under a grand) and won't be overkill. An S52 E30 will be much more car then you can handle.

i contradict that, i've driven a e36 m3 they aren't as fast as people play them off to be, i think it'd make one hell of a car to play with.

and as ive already explained to ryan, i have s52 parts for a swap readily availible, i havent bought them yet, but there not going any where anytime soon, and i think i can get them for cheaper than a m52 i'm pretty sure i can atleast...

An e30/s52 is scary to drive tho, it weighs 500lbs less, and has a sadisitic rear suspention.
