    Ill agree with you there. There is a good amount of info on this board, its a good resource, but damn.. Way too much of this kind of bs.

    When these guys come to the boards looking for handouts, just ignore it. You're spoiling him by feeding into it. Back when we swapped my Z, there was no forums. We didnt sit on the computer like fucking nerds. We just did it.. Too much talk around here, not enough do!

    Granted, im on the internet alot now, due to having a wife and a newborn at home. But you guys that are younger.. Sometimes I wonder, shouldnt you be chasing waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, wrenching, and partying? Maybe you guys are sweet or something, idk..

        ive already got the tranny and drive shaft.

        i think all that remains is wiring/hardness'es, motor, rear end (will the one of out a 98 m3 work?), mounts, brake booster(m42 one has clearance issue's BUT i read somewhere you shave the intake mani to make the stock work??)


        i think thats it?

        besides brake up grades, etc..

            A mustang pos is not camparable. Your buddy needs to find new tires and widder wheels. You really need to do some research. This isnt that hard.

                      Its preformace. If you want a car that is going to spin the tires get a mustang or somthing. If you want a car that can put it down get a bmw. 240hp with an s52 same as a s50. And for the critisizem remark I dont understand that at all. So you want no traction in any gear besides 5th? That makes no sence whats so ever.

                        why would i spend money on a swap when a i have traction problems in 2nd with a 4 pot?

                        i'm looking to atleast double my numbers.

                        it's not that i dont want traction, i want a car that just has problems acheiving it. ;)

                        tell me how that doesn't make sence?

                            lol that was an expression on the power output i would like to acheive,

                            but untill i have enough money to buy my friends dads totaled m3, my project is well..dormant...


                            right now, im really looking for a desent set of borbet a's, t's or maybe some alpina's..

                            bc i can get those with a tax refund check. :)

                                I've never broken my car loose in 4th, but I shift like grandma. I bet my car is faster than a 5.0 Fox-body though ;).

                                In all fairness, the best way I can put it into perspective is to point out that the car is faster than an E46 M3. That's quick enough to entertain me.
