    1986 325e Transmission Swap Question

I am in the process of collecting all parts necessary to perform an Auto to Manual conversion and upon my research I was not able to confirm whether any transmission control modules exist and if so whether they need to be removed?

    Can anyone verify for me?

    Thanks.

You mean existing modules for the auto that would need some form of attention because you are going manual?

I think you may find some info in this recent thread: https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/for...e-question-fml

Also you could message It's Soda Not Pop as I believe he just went through this.

Indeed. Check out my post in there about removing the entire Auto harness.
You end up with a car wired like a factory 5-speed.

This is from the DBO YouTube channel on how to go from auto to manual. Part 1 and 2.
