    E34 M5 diff, will it work?

    I should definitely know the answer to this... but I don't.

    Will an E34 M5 diff fit with changing the cover and flanges?

    Considering a regular E34 diff wouldn't work, I'm going to stick with no.

      I think you are confused with the E28, which has the same style diff as the E30.

        Just looking at real OEM, it only has two upper bolt holes as opposed to four, and who knows if those 2 even line up. So right there you are severely compromising the mounting. Then you have to wonder if the rear plate and output flanges are the same, and if not, will the e30 parts bolt right on and be in the right position?
