      ^^^^ What he said.

There are other lower (numerically higher) E30 ratios out there, but somewhat tough to locate. 4.10s are pretty common.

i have 4.10s and that's why i started this topic.some friends told me that it's the stock m20b20 differential and when i'll swap with a m20b25 the car will rev like a motorcycle.i knew this diff is common at drifters, not draggers.

            I don't think B25 cars came with S4.10s and 5 speeds.

But it's a good diff for the 1320. The 318ti came with an S4.45 as an option but those are hard to come by.

In Europe the 320i's came with 4.10 cause of the lower horsepower. I have a 320i with a 2.5i in it. I could only get about 300 km per tank or 17 per 100l. But it had power all day. Now I have a S3.73 more driveable with better gas mileage but there is a M50 in progress too

But also, not all 320i's had the 4.10. The diffs are sort of a selectable option in Germany, right? My bosses 320i Baur had a 3.64 pegleg in it before the 1:1 trans was installed with a 3.23. Basically any diff works with any car, it just depends on what you want to do with it.

maybe that's what they came with.. non-lsd for drag racing sucks. plus the 3.64 is too long for an N/A M20.

so 4.10 lsd is the best choice then :-D
