I drove my 2.93 with a unsprung 3-puck. I managed to never kill it from a stop, even on the uphills.

I love my 2.93 on the highway low revs and 30mpg (well according to the Econogauge) with my ES but balls slow even with the chip. None the less its still fun to drive for how slow she is.

My 325i vert(with a 2.93) is faster than my 318iS with a 4.1. I personally like it, but that car is just a cruiser.

i have the 4.10 front/back (AWD) and yeah 4k for 80 sucks but oh well... don't drive 80 or swap em. how does that compare with the 3.91? is it a pretty dramatic difference? (I bought my 5 spd swapped with the auto 4.10 from the manual 3.91:1 that came with it, thinking about turbo and not sure if I want to keep the 4,10s or not)

Weird fact, my E30 gears out at 198mph w/ a 4.10 in it. LOL

I ran a 2.93 for around a year, no complaints.

It makes for heavenly 2nd and 3rd gear pulls.

the easy solution is an engine that revs higher. :D

Same experience here (with a 3.73). I just bought a 3.25. I'm looking forward to the lower highway revs too.

3.73 is good if you dont want to feel slow everywhere else but the highway..

3.46 would probably work well, I was joking about the 2.93s lol, unless economy very important and you don't care about going fast.

I have the same problem, most of my driving is highway and 4.10s blow ass. I dont even care for 4.10s locally, 1st gear is pretty much pointless unless for sprinted drives.
