Just put some it and its reading kind of high on my yellow dipstick. Is it best to take it out?

auto transmissions are sensitive to fluid level. did you check the fluid after turning the car on, running through the gears and giving it a few minutes to get to operating temp? check fluid while the car is on.

Yea def check fluid while the car is on. I dont know how zf or getrag do it, but BMWs with GM transmissions, its impossible to overfill unless you drill and weld a bung higher up on the oil pan.

I'd bet it will be just fine, unless it's way overfull. but you have to check with it in neutral and the car running, if it's an auto.
