    eta diff question

Is a 373 lsd too much in a eta I can't decide between that and 325lsd. How much mileage would be lost?

You do not want the 3.73 for an eta, unless you like shifting more and going slower

3.73 actually makes you go slower? How does that happen?

Going slower as in it will make you slower because you're having to shift too often, and because your top speed will be much less. I have a 3.25 right now and I wouldn't go any higher. It revs at about 2500-2600 going 60-65mph, which is kinda high when the limiter is at like 4750 (I have a chip on mine to allow 5500).

Im in the same boat. At highway speeds (my daily commute is 45km highway, each way), my eta sits at around 3k rpm with the 3.25, give or take a few hundred. This is at roughly 120-130kmh, sometimes i miss the 2.93. 3.73 would be unreal.

When I had my Eta I loved it with a chip and 3.25 diff. Definitely don't go with anything shorter than that though!

                  I went from 8L/100km (29.5MPG) highway to 11L/100km (21.38MPG)

This is going from a 2.93LSD to a 3.25LSD. Running MarkD chip on both

That's quite a big difference, would you say the 3.25 is worth it?

Absolutely, my mileage may be on the low side for other reasons as well. I'm not really too concerned about maintaining my motor/diff as they're coming out in favour of a b25/3.73 soon

Ok thanks for the help I think I'm going to pick up a 3.25 soon. Would you say it's a night and day difference between the 2.93 and 3.25?

It's been quite a while but I think it still did 25+.

Yes, night and day indeed. Get a chip if you don't have one already.

Yah, it definitely accelerates quicker with the 3.25. My mileage stayed about the same, maybe because I tend to drive a little slower on the freeway now. I get about 24-27mpg with the Turner chip and 3.25.
