Ahh see the problem is that automatics are shit so the only proper way to fix it is with a 5 spd swap or a very large stick of dynamite.

But in all seriousness that tranny is toast

How is it toast? If it has next to no fluid in it she aint gunna move!

You probably have a severed transmission cooling line which connects to the radiator, or the radiator itself is leaking.

Fix the hose/radiator, refill it, and assuming you didn't beat it up that much with no fluid it should be okay.

it blew in a drive thru and he pushed it home...only time it's been driven was in an out of one driveway lol

and yea it's a bummer bc he got an auto to use while he saved up for a 5 spd swap and then this happened

I have a 320 trans that I can sell. I'll be driving through LA next week and can drop it off.

it's probably fine. Just find the leak, replace the hose, fill using the trans fluid dipstick tube, then keep on driving.

My Rover (4hp22, same trans as you) has popped a line on several occasions, pumped all the fluid out, while going down the highway. Fixed it, refilled, and it still drives fine.

It is my car, and it happened late one night (hence the need for a drive through pit stop.) And I was a block from home and just pushed the car back into my place. It hasn't moved since so I haven't tried to drive on it. I just want to makensure that this is the line that I should replace http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-...es-17221177654

Well, pull the leaky hose and find out. There's a few. there is no way for us to know on these ends of the planets..

MUCH more dramatic than just plain ol' dynamite.

I prefer to wrap a 4lbs of ANFO around a lb of binary, and shoot it with a 7.62x54r round. I mean, it's 3 ingredients for the explosive pair. (Ammonium nitrate (For both), Aluminum(Binary), and #2 fuel oil(ANFO, the other binary)) :)

I just might have to add you to the "Potentially handy people to get to know on a first name basis" list. Which is the precursor to the "Handy people to know on a first name basis" list. Which is the precursor to........
