    Grinding noise when turning

    Hi there,

    I'm running into an issue that sounds like it's coming from the rear. Grinding comes from lower speeds it seems, ~10-15mph.

    I'm not positive if this is or isn't suspension noise, but I think it's rear differential noise. I did just replace the rear diff fluid with redline 75w90 and the intensity of the grinding has decreased somewhat - but it's still there.

    Here's a short video of the noise: https://vid.me/PxPz

    Excuse the squeaky noise, that's coming from my steering column that I'll have to sort.

    Here's my options list based on VIN;

    I'll have to wirebrush off the tag on the differential once I have it back on the jack again.

    Has anyone had experience with this?

    usually a diff will wine in a straight line too, and the noise will increase with speed. At low speeds and around corners, I think it's a wheel bearing.

      Thanks Nando. I recently replaced the front bearings, I would've imagined that they would've had a hum to them in a straight line if they were the rears, but I guess I'll be reading up on that.

      I'd much rather replace a couple of bearings over a diff any day.
