    What spring goes where?

I took the cover off to reseal but forgot what springs go where?
The balls jump up when shifting idk what they do but there is 1 spring that is different. Don't want to fuck anything up.

That's what I was thinking too.

which hole do you think reverse is?

I've gotten it into 1,3,5 but it's very hard to get it into reverse to see what ball pops up.

I have a spare transmission out that I can check. Will find out tomorrow for you unless someone else beats me to it. Also...BMW updated the cover to include an integrated seal.

Pulled the detent cover off the spare tranny. The short spring goes at the top, closest to the shifter arm.

Thanks for checking that for me.

I'm going to smear some right stuff on there for a seal.
