clutch lines and shifter mount for 5 speed swap

    Hi all,
I bought a set of clutch pedals for a 5 speed swap.

    1. It has part of the lines that I need but they cut hoses. Can I patch in new hoses with the existing connection parts?

    2. The shifter is pictured. Transmission is from a 87 325e. What mounting plate do I need to buy to attach to the car. Help with a part number would be great. Seems like there are two versions?

    Thanks!
    Andrew

Buy a new hose. They are not that much and in fact, best practice is to replace both the master and slave.

For your shifter, plug the last 7 of the donor vin in to realoem.com and get your PNs

      In the same boat here.
I would buy new hoses, MC, and SC. They are surprisingly cheap compared to other cars I've worked on.

As far as the shifter mount. I'm also trying to figure out what mount I need for my 87 eta. I have a longer version of what you have pictured but it seems like these cars came with 3 different types.

I'm still a bit lost as to what I need. Drew this little picture to try to help.

        I'm going to buy https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...513/ES3132770/
which I assume is part #2 on my drawing.

what is part #1? Just a brake hose line? It seems to have a fancier connection going into the clutch master cylinder but I can't find anything online.

Then looking on real oem the bridge (my ? mark) is just labeled as "pipe" will any threaded pipe do?

        Thanks for the newbie help!

No you need the correct thread and flare. Best to get oem.
Sorry, don't know about the other hose.

Check RealOEM for correct P/N's for your model. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=21_0004

The hard line is not as long as you think. You appear to have it all there it's just cut.

They all show the part. Try and get one though.

I JUST did a swap (with ragtope30 taking the lead) and we discussed this part as being NLA. GL

If it's not marked as 'ended' it will probably be back... sometime.

Seems like too many cars use it (still?) for it to truly disappear.
Or find roughly the same thing from another model... I wonder if it's the
                        angle that makes it unique?

Another reason to buy a swap "kit" rather than trying to cobble one together. We did mine in BFE in one VERY long day. Couldn't imagine trying without all the giblets right there.
