    Any report back?
I just bought a 3.73 open that was advertised as a 3.73 LSD...
And I have 2 2.93 LSD's sitting around. I can get down and dirty with this. This is not something I'm terribly afraid of, but having the torque #'s and stuff would be great.

I'll reserve judgement until this car actually drives around with this rebuild .

Any details on your diff build ?

          esp the backlash settings/clearances ?

I'm about to install OBX torsen diff head into open 3.46....

I took it apart and i cant feel any slack between ring gear and pinion...

What does it take to replace the pinion and such... wanna take my 3.25 LSD and make it a 2.93lsd from an open for my daily M50 swap car. What kind of removing process is used and where can the shims be found. I have dial indicators and such to check the freeplay. Is this something that can be done somewhat easily?

Since there is some renewed interest in this I will post here.
I still have this 4.10 diff, along with a 3.25 and a 3.73. Currently running the 3.73. Diff ran strong and has worked great, just not that awesome for highway cruising. 3.73 is a little better, but would prefer a 3.46, 3.25 is a little too long with the G260.
                            Not much to say really.
For info on backlash/what have you see winfred's thread on the OBX install.
