unfortunately it won't work. i need 6 bolt holes. this is the main part of the controversy. all m20 motors have 8 holes and all m10/m42 motors have 6 holes. the pic on zen's sight shows a 6 hole single mass indicating that it came off of a 4 cyl as opposed to a 6cyl. but the description is that of a 6cyl and matching part number to a 6cyl automatic flex plate.
a bit scattered, but i think you get the point.Originally posted by jrhaileFor the record I have never fucked a goat.Comment

A guy in this thread mentioned a euro M42/M40 single mass flywheel. I wonder if there is a way to figure out which one that is and if it would work/be possible to get in the US. It seems like all the M42 and M40 flywheels listed on RealOEM show up as dual-mass, even the euro ones.

almost all e30 flywheels in the ETK (bmw parts catalog) show up as dual mass. there are a few single mass units, but they are early e30 84-86ish. i don't want to risk the wrong part again. my boss might get pissed off since they pay the shipping (i had the one today overnighted from NJ to CA).A guy in this thread mentioned a euro M42/M40 single mass flywheel.
