My car was leaking coolant at one of the rear coolant lines in the block. It ended up leaking INTO the transmission bellhousing. I drove maybe 200 miles with this problem before I tracked it down and fixed it.
My spec stage 3 clutch now slips badly in anything above 2nd gear. I put another ~100 miles onto the car to see if it would get better, but no luck.
Now these two problems might not be related, since I had the clutch out of the car and had the flywheel resurfaced during an engine rebuild 800 miles ago (didn't drive it hard until recently due to engine break-in).
Anybody have any experience with this? Did the coolant in the transmission really cause the clutch to go bad? And will it get better with time?
