    Bad Throw Out Bearing?

Replaced clutch, flywheel, TOB, etc. Actually manual swapped the car.

Clutch successfully bled last night. It is making a bit of noise when depressed, but only partially depressed. Like right at the engagement point, once the pedal is all the way down it's quiet.
If it's a noisy t/o bearing I would think it would make noise the entire time the pedal is pushed?

Will the disk make noise as pressure is coming on and off it?

Seems to me TOBs are rather a loose bearing until they have tension on them so that seems plausible although I don't think a new bearing should make noise. Could it just be your typical getrag rattle ?

      Did you lighten the flywheel?

Flywheel is the RHD aluminum piece.

I haven't head the Getrag rattle before. I thought it happened in neutral? This noise is only at the clutch engagement point. It is louder on a downshift if I don't rev match.

That flywheel will rattle if you're idling in neutral until you push the clutch in. Does not seem like your culprit but hopefully someone else will chime in.

Further online searching indicates if the noise is only at the engagement point and not when fully depressed the problem is the pilot bearing.

Not sure how I screwed that up? Maybe wrong depth?
