So it's largely been two years of enjoyment with my M60 swapped '85. The car has proven reliable with one quirk. I took it on a 1800 mile rally this September to Idaho and the car did great, although I did get it a little warm running it hard on a segment. The only issue I have had is intermittently having the clutch pedal go soft. The first time it happened I chalked it up to not bleeding it fully. I re-bled it and it was better. One day I noted that it felt a little spongy again but then strangely the next time I drove it it was back to being nice and firm. This happened again later and once again resolved. Now, it has happened a 4th time and did not cure itself, so I tried to bleed it. I pushed out a bunch of air, then clear fluid and the clutch felt good. After 2-3 strokes it got mushy again, but no air comes out. It's running Wilwood MC's... I inspected the MC and there is a slight dampness on the piston shaft but it;s not leaking anything.
Do these Wilwood MC's fail often? Is it worth rebuilding or just buy a new one if this ends up being the source?
