friend here in east bay put a v12 uuc fly+850 clutch setup on the m62 6mt with 4.4L v8, the slave was some funny length rod iirc, something uuc specific modified length.
I really want a JB twin disc :)
if using 240mm clutch parts then you have M5 e39 availibility and also friction disc from e46M will interchange. with the v8 6mt getrag splines/e39m clutch (as both are 240mm) -same as m30.OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

This thing is in my brothers e39 m-sport :( I am dropping off the dual mass flywheel tomorrow to have it checked out.
So, since heads were warped 6 thou, that meants 7-8 thou were machined should I go with next size up in head gasket thickness or still safe to go with stock?Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

They're quite simple engines after all when you unbolt all the extra stuff, aren't they? :)
Btw, were the rod-bearings colour-coded (green / red / blue) or all similar sizes?- E34 M5 (x 2) -

The ones that came out were not in color, and same with the new STD ones either... although some have said they should have a color mark they did not... not sure why.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

Finally some progress, not as much as I hoped for but still progress. Both heads installed, new thicker gaskets, new bolts. New timing gear/guides/chain installed.
Next weekend hopefully will have vanos units installed and timing set to get this going, I need to get this thing on the road so I can drive my e34 dd since my e30 is not very dd/rain friendly right now (no wipers, leaky sunroof FTL).Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

Thanks for posting all these pictures btw. M6X doesn't look all of too complicated when it comes down to it, just lots of parts.
