    Project is on a bit of a standstill due to work-trip abroad. Anyways, should get back to it in the end of next week (the bolts should be plated by then, changed the supplier) and the driveshaft should be ready also.

    Anyways, no post without picture (I like taking pictures of brakes :))

    Couple of additional pictures on the website v8cabrio.kuvat.fi

            In terms of cost it is between "God Damn!" and HOLY CRAP!"

              Haha... well I know what mine will be worth when finished, so I would probably just say "sounds about right", with a shrug and that would be it. I'm just yanking Jonsku's chain a little is all...

                I am doing an M60 swap with air conditioning and according to your pictures, It looks like the compressor fits with no problem and that's encouraging!!!

                I guess the same would go for the power steering pump.

                    Actually, the alternator is what gets close on the drivers side. The power steering pump hangs well below the frame rail. The frame rails can be clearanced and it comes nowhere near the bumper shocks, so the overall answer is yes, it will all fit, with some massaging...

                      Don't worry Gary. I know I seem like a forum lurker doing this swap behind the scenes. I promise I'll post a dedicated thread of pics and background of my swap soon. I appreciate all if the advice!!!

                      OP: On another note, I see that you used the e34 stock brake setup linkage. Can you post some pics of your modified pedal step? I didn't see it on the "extra pics" site, v8cabrio.kuvat.fi.

                        Well, "fits with no problem" is maybe not the correct word .. but yes, it fits. :)

                        I've "massaged" the frame rails in on both sides about 1cm each, and now there's in total something like 15mm space (alternator - frame rail + AC compressor - frame rail) so it's very tight fit..

                        The cutout in frame rail is for lower radiator hose (which will be made mostly from stainless steel / aluminium), as the AC compressor sits right above the lower coolant outlet from rad. It actually interferes slightly with "bumper shock reinforcement" but it doesn't matter at that point.

                        No problems with PS-pump, as it's "more to engine centerline" than alternator.

                        There are plenty of pics on that on v8cabrio.kuvat.fi and I'd post final pictures on the ready setup, but as my bolt / small parts were not plated / coated in time (2 days job took 3 months and still didn't get finished) the whole thing is more or less apart at the moment.. Should be much more readier by the end of the week..

                          I've been doing 20h for one week so there has been finally some progress! :)

                          As we finally got the bolts & small parts coated;

                          ... I could finally assemble the engine bay;

                          ... bolt the doors and trunk lid on (not adjusted yet);

                          ... put it back to ground;

                          Got the exhaust done by KKD Motorsport. Really great job once again. The pipes are 2x2", look small but are more than enough with this power.

                          KKD made couple of water pipes as well that wait to be powdercoated;

                          We brought the car to autohifi-company for ICE-install (subtle "better than average" - setup without visible modifications) and should be getting it back someday next week for final assembly..

                              Wow, must be nice to reassemble a car with that clean, shiny hardware! Looking good, can't wait to see the finished product.

                              What is the long pipe with the 90* bend welded to it, in the last pic?
