Hi all,
I wanted to post my progress on here.
Not much has been done except research and part collection :)
Info about the car:
e30 1989 with oem Ac Schnizter kit.
Reprayed 2010
4 piston brembo calibers @ front with 312mm disks
17" wheels
IE sways
VEMS standalone management
polyurathane almost everywhere
and more...

Been boosting around 10-22psi since summer 2008. Turbo has been fun when everything is in order but I can say that I've had my share of problems.. for example few headgasket failures, heat problems and all kinds of little problems.
Last problem I had began with a big BOOM. Here are the results of that boom
:D
Well I've had enough of turbo related problems and want to go for something solid, v8 is the next thing for my e30 (nicknamed litle red here in iceland after the fairytale).
My goal is to be able to drive my car over the summer without problems, park it over the winter and only have to change the oil before next summer.
Part list so far:
M60B30
X5 manifolds
E30 m3 driveshaft
v8 booster+mc - Big thanks to Jean for this!
The plan is to install the b30, build engine mounts if I have to make them myself. Take care of the remote booster thingy and sort out the coolant hoses and radiator. Ive got the biggest oem 325i radiator and im hoping that i'll be ablet to use it with the m60.
The m60b30 will not be the final v8 motor, im looking into buying m60b40,m62b44(TU) or S62 in near future. It should be a drop in swap if I have everything ready with the b30 motor :D
Ill be running VEMS and I plan to wire it my self and tune with a help from a friend so EWS and dealing with oem electrics wont be a problem. VEMS are going to be providing vanos support soon, if win the lottery and buy a s62 I dont need to block the vanos :D
Parts im looking for now is a 5spd manual along with flywheel, clutch,PP. Not much to choose from here in Iceland since we do not have many e34/e32/e39 v8 manuals :( Most likely I will have to get one from the states or mainland europe.
Hope im not missing any critical parts in my list, feel free to chip in any info.
