well, the diff isn't changing, the driveshaft change doesn't add much i wouldn't think, but I know the M60 flywheel is heavy as fawk, more exhaust piping, etc.

The M62 stock dual mass is heavy, it's like 30lbs, but there are aftermarket options just very expensive. Exhaust manifolds on M62 is nice vs the cast m30 .

        38, to be exact!

I'm taking my m60 e30 to the drag strip this Friday, I'll report back with my results. There is also an accurate scale on site, so I'll weigh it.

m60b40, 5 speed, 3.25 LSD, 235/40/17 Sumitumo HTR-Z II's. GE 450/640 coilovers with Bilstein sports. UUC LW flywheel with Clutchmasters FX100. DUDMD chip.

That's about all of the relevant stuff I can think of, other then the fact that I'm struggling with a fuel injection/ignition issue that may or may not affect full throttle performance (I don't believe so).

              Weigh in: 2685!
Half tank, spare tire, full interior. I'm thrilled with that number!

Will report back with time slips shortly :)

That run I hooked up very well. I'll post the time slip tomorrow, but it was a 2.05 60'. It was the only run that I really hooked up. I had two 13.8's with moderate spinning, a couple low 14's with a lot of spinning, and a few 15's that I literally just sat on the line doing a burnout.

I'm confident a 2.93 or 2.79 would give better results.

why would a 2.93 give better results? did all the gears seem too short with the 3.25?

JGood, doesn't 13.6 seem slow, since the stock E39 540i/6 is advertised at 14.0? Also, the guy quoted below ran faster with a similar powered motor and much more weight.
