Easiest way to make someone happy :) , is to give a M60 in to the hands of a M42 owner :)

It was an amazing event . Whole day was raining some times beyond reason :) . But the car handled amazingly, despite the weather conditions the touring was glued like crazy to the track :) . Tires used were a pair of brand new Dunlop Sport 235/45/17 rears, couldnt find good tires for the front which were some semi-shot 205/45/17.

My first time ever on a proper race track (there arent any race tracks in Bulgaria). Found out that "normal" lateral G's make me really sick, need to find some help on that :)

Only a couple points to address in regards to the car:
          1. My steering was locking badly on right turns, need to replace.
          2. Still there is a limp mode present when 2nd or 3rd gear goes beyond 6500rpm, after that limiter goes down to 5500rpm and that stays until engine restart ???

My first ever track experience, little slow and unsure but will improve on that next season.

          My buddy driving,

I'm doing 12..13 l /100km on highway, in city 15..17 depending on how much I floor it.

25l/100 is way too much, read your error codes etc.. Lambdas or temp. sensors are the first ones to check.
Changed temp sensor, plugs, lambdas and still...

Still have less then 10mpg permanent, city or highway or track, I have changed everything possible , no error codes , engine runs like a charm. No raw fuel smell from exhaust. Could not find any leaks. Temp sensors function live data is ok. If A GT1 could not diagnose this lump who can?Any advise will be much appreciated

Have you tested the mpg on a measured distance of road and litres of fuel?

              The cluster might be wrong..

                  1) Too little clearance between steering shaft and exhaust manifolds.
                  2) DME is missing speed signal.

You are absolutly right. Engine movement when cornering is causing the steering lock :(, the exhaust manifolds were made before the alternator came from recycling therefore not enough clearence :(. My cluster seems to loose the signal, hardwired it now all is fine :). MPG is back to normal amazingly I have missed to adapt properly the ECU that cost me 5 full tanks haha. Found those bugs in November :). For now the car is at storage for the winter. Will continue the project early spring :)

here is a start after a 50 day rest outside -

Got it out of hibernation yesterday :) .Its just spectacular what a nice car I have build last year :) .

Decided to abandon the idea of E38 ABS setup and instead do the 5x120 swap.
Front is dead simple E36 M3 all the way. But the rears hmmm, E36 compact solid disks are puny and small what will be my choice in Europe to do an upgrade. I know Lee from massive does offer an upgrade kit, but shipping from Canada will just be rediculous. Any ideas ????

Got the complete front setup from E36 M3 Evo for cheap :). Now the rear again, will it be wise to put E46 330 rear at 320x20 or stick to the E36 328i - 296x19mm rear? Both setups have been done localy, but the E46 one will put bigger rotors on the rear which concerns me? Both sollutions will leave the parking brake intact.

                        Front:
                        E36 coilovers
                        E30 top mounts
                        E36 M3 Evo wishbones
E36 M3 offset control arm bushings
                        E36 M3 Evo spindles
                        E36 M3 Evo rotors - 315x28mm
                        Brembo 4-pot E38 callipers + custom brackets

                        Rear:
                        E36 318ti trailing arms
                        E46 330i rotors - 320x22mm
                        E46 330i callipers + custom brackets

                        Any comments on this?

Thank you, I am really surprised to see a touring in the states :). Over the years I have had many E30s but the Touring just grew on me :). You should have noticed how that ~100kg at the back really transforms the handling and the closer 50/50 ratio of all the E30s does feel much better. Now that my Touring has nothing to do with stock except the shell is even better :) . Although I am close to ~1350-1400kg now I think. As this is an ongoing project without a set budget who knows what will become of it in the future :).
