That booster setup is the BEST fitment I have ever seen on here. Props man! That is factory fitment right there.

        Ouch, my feelings

Just kidding, those welds are amazing. Looks like the project is really coming along well! I bet you're getting excited to drive it!

Maybe I missed it, but how did you modify your brake pedal and clutch master cylinder placement? That was the hard part for me.

So had a busy night last night. Now that the car it self is finished I can focus on the motor and trans. Got parts in to freashin up my transmission, seals, clutch fork pivot, throw out bearing, fluid, and pilot bearing. Trans is ready..

Then i decided to replace the rear water tube gaskets, and all 4 o-rings. Next was mounting the crank sensor. The 98 m62 is obd2 and I'm converting to obd1 in order to ease on build and run MS3. So i had to come up with a way to mount to the sensor. I think it turned out pretty good.

If i am seeing it correctly you mounted the sensor at TDC ? If so i don't think that will work since the ecu is only capable of retarding timing, not advancing it. Your pickup needs to be at least as advanced as you ever want the timing to be.

If i am seeing it wrong and you already know this, carry on.

                Motronic can advance timing.

                  Really? I learned something new.

How does it fire before the crank signal happens ?

Its counting the teeth on the wheel.
It doesn't really matter anyway. Im running MegaSquirt 3 and i can put my timing any place i want.
Stock m60 crank sensor is at tdc

There's 60-2 teeth on the reluctor wheel, the ECU knows when it's BTDC and ATDC. It uses two missing teeth (hence the 60-2) to identify cylinder #1. Motronic 1.3 and later also use a cam sensor (inductive cylinder identifier on the m20) to know if the #1 is on the exhaust or compression stroke.

OK so finished up the exhaust manifolds today. I also fabed up a remote dual oil filter mount.

So I planned on building my own tubed headers but I got lazy and built off of the stock manifolds using 2.5" out.. Now that I'm done I'm happy I went this route cause the e36 rach was a f-ing whore.. ugh But i did really well and i'm very happy..
Now I'm just waiting on my V-band flanges to show up before I have them coated and rapped before final install... So excited.

                                Not much to update..

Got the headers finished, Not sure I want to heat rap them. Heat rap has pro's and con's and I've seen the result of the cons so I'm still on the fence...
