No, it's over an inch shorter. You can look up the lengths of the drive shafts on realoem.com, bmwfans.info, etc...

You need something 1275-1285mm with a 4 bolt rear flange and a 96mm diameter / 12mm bole hole flex disc. e36 328i, e30 m3, and 5/86+ 325e (they can be hit or miss...) should work. I don't know of any others.

Is that a crack I see in the countersink for the middle hole? It's right in the middle of the small patch of glare from the light (flash?)

tons... this linked with an AKG it makes our stock trans box feel and shift like racing boxes...

IF you get the right weight the throw is firm but effortless...

It looks bad in the picture it got munched hard sadly but thankfully I was able to repair it to it's splendid glory.. Out of all the carnage this was the one thing that bothered me the most... I dreaded making another one and I was so proud of it when I first built it..

I have a 328i auto drive shaft local think that would work?
Garagetastic stuff is good but I prefer to do it myself, I had hoped my thread reflected that :)

There appears to be slightly more than one piece, although my comment was mainly directed at monkey's potential desire for a one piece shaft.

There are some very good reasons to stick with a two piece shaft as bmw used.
