Alright looking for sum info on the limp mode for the 404 dme.
I have finally installed my o2 sensors and with in minuets threw a CEL.
in fear of falling into limp mode while away from my house.
Looking to start driving it to work to put some miles on it. I work 8 miles away.

Will the lack of o2 throw me into "limp mode" or if they are hooked up but still throwing a CEL

I need to find a remote expansion tank solution for my e39 540, do you happen to know if yours has the correct pressure cap, and the necessary nipples to function properly on an early M62, looks to me like it would work? I like the looks of its shape and size (small and shallow).

Yes I have seen that thread. looks to be nice work and well though out.
I'm currently in the process of building my 3rd. SC manifold. Hopefully I'll have my next one done within the month...

Here's his build thread from the bimmerforums. I'm pretty sure he's not a vendor on there, so you have to PM him or whatever (he can't be hawking his wares on the forum probably without paying the forum, I imagine). I have an alternate method to reach him if you have trouble getting in touch:

Bimmerforums is the preferred online BMW Forum and community for BMW owners. At Bimmerforums, you will find technical how-to information maintenance specifics audio advice wheel and tire combinations and model specific details not found anywhere else. Our professionals are here to help make sure you find the answers you need to your questions and our community is here to help other brainstorm ideas for the future.

I think maybe he mentioned in a different thread that he had a couple or a few sets of the S/C to head adapters set to go already.

What's the actual temperature? The gauge is basically worthless. You're running the stock DME?

ok so i have narrowed it down to only a few things left till this car is finished...

I have to drill, and weld in the o2 sensor bungs. than install the o2's
I haven't done this yet cause I'm lazy...

In the mean time I'm also starting to rev up on my SC manifold build.
