^^in this photo these are steps #1 & #2 which are turn car on, LISTEN and do not step on gas. (#2) listen to engine, if your happy (smiley face) then your done. If your not (frown face) the move on to step 3...



3: hold gas pedal between 2-3 rpm for 4mins, #4 then let idle for 30sec
5:listen to engine if happy then done, if not move on too step 6 which is...step 3 repeated x5.

So I'm at a bit of a wall right now R3v guys, I need the idler gear that's on the 4.0 blocks and can't find one with out having to get in the engine. Do any of you have an M60 bottom end parts? Or know where I can buy it new???

Yeah I figured anyone doing this swap would be using this part as well as i am, looks like in have to just find it or buy another bad motor

Cheaper just to buy that part new vs. a used bad motor....you are looking at about $130.

Thanks a lot man, this is literally the only real thing that is holding me up an that's been the most headache :-/ everything I'd now sitting in a shopping cart getting ready to be ordered this week. Can wait to order my clutch this week too. I just really can't wait to get this whole thing done...and pray that it will be running okay. I talked with a buddy at Metric Mechanics and he told me that it should be fine to drive just don't ever go WOT till I get a turn *sigh

lol! np. I am pretty much down to flywheel/clutch kit/sensors myself. I need to order all the bolts for the valley pan and oil pan(s) as I have no idea where I put them! If your engine is near by, can you count how many valley pan bolts it uses and also same for the upper oil pan and lower pan?

For valley pan I'm sure I have a pic of the engine when it was open n u can count the holes....as for the upper oil pan...I know it's more then 20 haha which is kinda vague...
