Z3M radiator in an early model E30?

I know the Z3M radiator fits in later models without modification but has anyone here coupled that radiator with an M60 in an early model E30? (10/85 325e sedan).

That's what's in my 10/84 325e. There's no difference between early and late models in that area of the car that would prohibit using it.

Nice. Curious, which part number are running in yours? I'm looking to get 17112227281 which came with later Z3 M's.

I'm using the Mishimoto. Can't beat it for the price!

I had to do some finagling. The OEM (-281) Z3M rad's overall dimensions are the same as an E30/36 rad (save for thickness obviously), but the core is actually a bit shorter (the endtanks protrude out past the core, I have some pictures somewhere).

The problem that presents itself here is that while the later models' lower rad supports attach to the endtanks, which is fine since the endtanks are the same length, the early model's lower rad supports attach to the core. Thus, if you try and mount it with stock mounts in an early model it will not reach the upper radiator support. I wound up rigging something up to extend the lower mounts up by about an inch to get mine to fit, though I'd like a more permanent solution.
