    V8 Compatible Radiators

I did some research (Googling) really and it seems the Z3M 3-row radiator is another option for cooling a V8 swapped E30. The radiator from Mishimoto costs about $300.

My question is has anyone here tried this radiator in their M60/62 swap?

Also, what about this alternative to the Mishimoto: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-ROW-FULL-A...1925ab&vxp=mtr

    Please be gentle...

    Mishimoto has a lifetime warranty.

Ebay radiator.....don't even see a mention of warranty.

For what its worth, the ebay radiator is surprisingly nice for the price.

Im assuming M42 + 80* Thermo/fan switch and a high CFM SPAL wouldn't be enough?

I always liked the integrated expansion tank.

I have 12k miles on my m60 e30 with a Mishimoto Z3M radiator. I'm using a single cheapy 16" fan, and never once overheated. Sitting still, idling in traffic for 2+ hours, 100+ degrees, temp never goes above half on the gauge.

After about 1 year/10k miles, it sprung a leak right where I jammed the stupid thermostat thing for the fan control through the fins. I contacted Mishimoto, they had a replacement sent out within 24 hours for $25. That made me a lifetime customer. Their warranty is the best I've ever seen; it's no questions asked, and you don't need to return the old one. They even give you a free replacement if you get in an accident.

This is what I have for now. E28 535i radiator. I have like 3 laying around, so why not?

I'll upgrade if I feel it's not enough.

Mishi or bust. I have the OEM BEHR Z3M radiator and it's flimsy and cheap as fkkkk. It cools great however! I sat in traffic the other day and it was 104F outside and my gauge didn't even think about hitting the halfway mark.

With the mishi, you're buying a better peace of mind, increased capacity, and one hell of a warrantee.

I bought one for my ix turbo project, its still sitting in the bedroom though. I imagine I'll have the same one (or mishi) in my v8 project also.

The Mishimoto Z3M radiator is the business. It's actually probably keeps the engine too cold on most (non-summer) days...

I have a mishi z3m rad too with no issues but I've seen the normal e36 rads used all the time with lsx swaps with no issues. Actually i get alot of american muscle guys that look at my swap and say my radiator is huge. #bcuzsizematters
