Try hooking your power up in a more... less ghetto manner, lol.

Then take a prybar or something and jump the terminals on the starter... at least that trick works with most 'murican and japanese starters. Got a pic of your starter?

    Thanks!
Started to do a compression check but it was around 2 am and I kept melting wires so I'll figure it out tomorrow..

Btw, does anyone know which wires go where to jump the starter?

Hit me up if you find a spare harness. I'll probably get the brake setup from my donor car if I don't get a wilwood setup

Tonight I started taking things apart.

    Not the cleanest in there..

I will need to find a new wiring harness because when I was pulling this engine I got a little frustrated and just cut the old one

Good to hear from you! I will definitely be PMing you as I have lots of questions about plumbing and brakes/I'm sure I will run into trouble..

Just a basic tune up and gaskets

Took the valve covers to my highschool autoshop today and cleaned/wire wheeled them best I could for paint

Thanks! I'll be using the five speed and I haven't decided on brakes yet.. A full wilwood booster less setup is like $500..I don't really know how to weld for a booster relocation so we'll see.

Got the engine in my garage and pulled the valve covers off. Wasn't too dirty under there

I had a small scare when I pulled the spark plugs out and one had a bunch of water on it but it was just water sitting down in the well

Looking good, saw your post on facebook. Curious as to what you do for braking and transmisson. Good luck!
