Got it to turn over via the key! Just need to sort out a few electrical problems, sort out the exhaust manifolds and put the driveshaft in

So I can't get my passenger side exhaust manifolds to fit at all, I'm thinking if I take all the studs out I might can slide it in there. Got my maf and got rid of TCS

I'm waiting on an e36 328i driveshaft, it is to my understanding that I need a 328i guibo and an e30 CSB?
I'm still having wiring issues. I've looked at probably six pinout charts and not a single one matches my wire colors for the chassis or the x20..
It's not looking like I'll make it to the vintage so far

Looking forward to seeing your car at bimmefest Justin.

Prior to starting my swap I had talked to Red46 about getting a skid plate for the M60 swap.

We talked about coordinating it after my swap was finished. But maybe you can do it before I could

I'm not sure about skid plate fitment, but we are very lucky that we have a seperate, easily replaceable, cheap, steel lower pan. Maybe keep a spare one, a 10mm socket, and a few quarts of oil in the trunk until you get used to what you can/can't drive over?

I'm pretty low and haven't had any issues. My m50 oil pan was a lot lower then this m60 pan.

Lol, come on man! That's literally 10x the access I have. Mine aren't even visible. Just get a long 10" or so screwdriver on it, should take 5 seconds.

Yea I guess you can't expect everything to work the first time with a swap as complicated as this.
This is what I'm looking at

    (Lower one)
The clamp is like in the fire wall

And water is pouring out of the heater core outlet..can't get a screw driver on it or anything. It's currently just leaking all over the floor and there doesn't seem to be anything a can do about it

Not sure how you'd adapt a regular thermo switch into the metric block, but you should buy one of these bro:

Free Shipping - Derale Deluxe Adjustable Fan Controllers with Radiator Probes with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Fan Switches at Summit Racing.

Pretty easy to set up, hear they work pretty good too.

I'm using this one, $35 at Advance Auto.

Works great, along with my 16" Pep Boys cheapy fan and Z3M Mishimoto radiator. Have never crept past 1/2 on the gauge, even when idling for hours in 95-100 degree heat.

Got a 16" pusher fan. Fit perfect! Got it wired up to a switch, yes I know there is a thread on here that explains how easy it is to wire it up to a thermo switch, I'll probably do that later though as I don't really mind flipping a switch at a long stoplight
