Talk me into a m60 swap

ok so long story short I want more hp and my nearly stock m20 isnt cutting it. I figured turboing my m20 would be the cheapest easiest rout, untill i started reading up on these m60 swaps.

They seem fairly simple and cheap, also well documented. I really like the idea of a big engine in a small vehicle too, especially the torque out put.

from what iv read the break booster and exhaust are the thoughest parts of the swap and i would much rather deal with that then tunning a stand alone fuel system and getting it all to run correctly.

what do you guys think v8 or turbo?

m60 is not a good swap if you want hp. it just doesnt have enough for the effort IMO

V8 a lot more expensive to maintain and to work on.
I don't know about the other guys, but the V8 is a show piece for e30.

if you want power, swap an S52 and boost it.

If I was to do a v8 swap might as well start with the b44, if I remember correctly its also very expensive to put an aftermarket set of cams in as well.

M60 is the BEST swap for an e30 now. Everything is being turned into "bolt on" to fit it thanks to Garagistic. Nearly 300hp and 300tq...much more with a Turner chip......

This preconceived notion of M60s being expensive is ridiculous. You just have to be smart about shopping for parts and not buy everything from BavAuto.

this is exactly what i was thinking. iv read alot of build threads and i think im going to order the swap guide a member on here is selling before i get my self into it too deep.

i just really like the idea of a v8 and really dont want to deal with ms tuning lol
