TJ, did you need the panel that's under the steering wheel from a 5 speed? because mine already has the space for a clutch. I just thought that was odd. I can't wait, kansas-ix is working on getting the 5 speed from his wrecked ix out for me right now :)

IIRC I had the slot for it as well. But my 91 325i auto parts car did not have the slot. I think our cars were destined to be 5 speed! I never installed that panel (too lazy) after the swap, so I don't 100% remember if it had the slot or not.

My cabrios has it, and is auto as well. I think most were that way.
