    Cooltant level at T-stat housing

I am replacing my ECU coolant temp senor this weekend, what I want to know is, how much, if any, coolant do I need to drain so when I pull the sensor coolant doesnt drain all over my engine?

Also, can I remover the radiator to T-stat housing hose at the housing whithout draining? Aleast then I can see the sensor and how much I need to drain.

Regardless of how careful you are with this job, you will spill some coolant. Probably not a lot since the t-stat is at one of the highest points of the cooling system so lost fluids should be minimal. Either way, you will have to replace the lost fluid and bleed out the air as needed.

while on this subject (not to steal the thread), how about the throttlebody coolant gasket? Mine has a pinhole leak I'd like to fix before winter. I need to flush the coolant anyway but it would be nice if I could do that on a seperate day without spilling coolant everywhere.
