Nice, you buy the kit form nine stitch or from elsewhere? Or were you just reusing your existing shocks? I'm buying some soon to fix mine, and I'll have to setup a contraption like this.

        Here is a specialized tool.

I ordered the shocks through FCP Euro. I modded a cheap 8 inch C clamp. The specialized tool certainly would work the best if you don't mind spending $80.

LOL to the above post - as I bought one of these Irwin single hand trigger clamps for the seat shocks.

ONE‑HANDED BAR CLAMPS Sometimes, all you need to get the job done is one hand. IRWIN QUICK-GRIP® One-Handed Bar Clamps offer the right fit, features, and pressure for any clamping job-- from the smallest project to large scale cabinetry. Featuring non-marring face pads that protect workpieces while evenly distributing clamping force. Whether it’s a small side project or large‑scale woodworking, QUICK‑GRIP® One‑Handed Bar Clamps have you covered.

Worked well and now this clamp is my first use around the house.
