I took my '87 E30 out to the track yesterday. It ran well until I ran into a fuel starvation issue mid-session. A few seconds after most right-handers, the engine would become starved for fuel and run dry for 2-3 seconds before returning to normal operation. The tank was about 75% full when it started happening. If I was well below half a tank, a simple lateral fuel slosh starvation issue might be the root cause, but I'd still be surprised. With as much fuel as the tank had when it started, I believe there is something more serious afoot, but I'm not sure what or how to further test it.
