    anybody got a better price?

I am about to go to work so i will check this when i get back home but... I have a 87 325is and the rear seal just went out at least i think that is what it is there is a oil leak comeing out from in front of the bell housing where it mounts to the engine the car has 189,xxx miles anyways so i figure that is most likely the seal, the part that sucks is that the local bmw price is way to high for my part time job, but the guy at the dealership says he will match anyone elses price. (i also need to fix my drive shaft at the same time) but his prices were as following; gubio flex disk 82.13; center support bearing 133.88; rear crank shaft seal 62.63; crank shaft seal gasket 4.74. if you guys know of anywhere that has a cheaper price please tell me where and give me a way to contact them. the last job i did was a power stearing rack, lines, resivor, and pump. i got used equipment for $40 for all of it and then payed bmw 40 for the new boots. so i did the whole thing for 80 bucks. i just have to try and keep this one close to 100 if i can. thanks for any help.

Holy shit! Does that come with lube? He's raping you. Call BMA (see sticky at top of "general" topic for discount code ) and get 10% off their price which is already less than half of what the stealer wants. It's the labor that's gonna kill you, taking off the tranny and such. I paid :
    guibo $36
    CSB $45? can't remember
the other stuff will be similarly cheaper. go do it.

      Flex disc $32.95

      Center support bearing $28.95

      Crankshaft seal, rear, $11.95

      Gasket, Rear Crankshaft Housing $0.84

      All prices from www.eap4parts.com

Go slit your wrists if you even considered paying the prices you mentioned.

I'm looking to buy the same right now. EAP only sells Lemfoerder parts (OEM), and I'm more than certain that BMA sold you Meyle parts. However, I'm still planning on seeing if BMA can beat their prices on Lemfoerder parts.

The tie rods are Meyle, the only marking on the control arms were genuine bmw parts and a Roundel that said The art of german engineering on top and Front suspension on the bottom (I know because I cut the Roundel out and taped it to my Monitor).

See other posts for price comparisons- the prices you list here seem REALLY high, even by BMW Dealership standards...

Assuming you're talking about the rear main crank seal (the rear of the engine), what are you gonna do for labor/??? To get to this seal, you'll have to pull the tranny and the clutch + flywheel...... Labor is usually like 80-90% of the cost of this job.... I'd make darn sure that is what's causing the leak before I tore into it, or PAID someone to tear into it.....
