    I say remove the engine/tranny bolted together. I've done it this way before....fairly straight forward stuff. Removing the hood doesn't involve that much labor (4 bolts is all) and since removing the engine requires draining the cooling system and removing the hoses, you may as well pull the radiator too. Gives you plenty of room to swing the motor out.
