I had a similiar situation and it was the crank sensor wire shorting out. Trust me...check the wire from your cranksensor located right next to the crank that runs right in front of the engine and behind the pulleys. Make sure its in its little bracket that keeps it away from the pulley. Another thing is check your gas tank it could be seriously dirty with sut on the bottom.

hahaha, oh so true.
Had a gas smell yesterday, near the gas tank and the secondary fuel pump. Nothing dripping just saturated areas.... today nothing so far ? Car has at least 1/4 tank as well.KEVIN
