e30.de is no longer shipping motor mounts to the US

The shifter just needs to be modified (cut in 2 and shortened)

The DS was a bitch for me to find a place that would do it and ended up costing me $400. Other say they have had it done for $75.

Don't do the swap unless you plan on beating the hell out of the firewall. It's not big deal and the advantages are totally worth it.

      You need a e34 m30 oil pan.

I working on a wright up on my m30 swap - basically the same minus the brake boster clearence issues.

I have offered before to be the cheap middle man, we have three local shops that can do BMW shafts. Normally they cost about $75. you can ship it to me seperated, I can take it down there and have it shortened and rebalanced and ship it backl to you for $5.

            Total cost= $75 (shorten/balance)+shipping+$5

That is if you want. the only other mail-to place is in Cali for $400.00

S38's are in the 330lb area, if I remember correctly.

                *Edit: I was close: http://www.bimmerforums.com/engines.cfm
                This says 332lbs for the "updated" (E34 M5) S38

Those weights are close enough for governemnt work.

For a completely rebuilt DS I would pay the $400.00 but these guess here can replace the joints and all at the same time and there is no way it will add up to $400. But to each his own.

It's due to the fact i sorta have a residence in Germany is why I get cool stuff. I can't ship an engine unless it goes via boat. I'm trying to get my squadron to buy of on me shipping my hardtop via free airlift.
