Thanks. That explains why I didn't see it. I was looking for a switch lol anyone know which terminals need to be connected to make it think it's in drive? I don't want to order it if it's not the problem. I already replaced the cable, actuator and stalk for apparently no reason.

Disconnecting the connector kills the light that shows the gear selected. I disconnected the blue wire which is not connected to the light. I am going for a drive. Wish me luck.

Looks like there is ground from switch in N or P. Otherwise, no ground. Note on diagram stated that for cars with Man. Trans., connector is taped back. This says to me that on the cars with automatic trannies the gound will activate if you just disconnect the connector for testing purposes.1991 325ic Auto
