or it could be a fuse, or a relay. could also be a clog somewhere, there's a T fitting that's known to clog up. they're like $5, and new spray nozzles are pretty cheap too

(mine are all clogged, but since it rains here every day I never need them anyway!)

              Helpful as always.

Rob, I'm not sure which fuse it is, but check to see if you have power at the pump first. Also check the T-fitting that nando said is not plugged, because that can blow the pump (too much back pressure).

              Keep it slideways!!

If I read you right, the wipers don't come on immediately when you pull the lever for washers?
I that case, I would check the wiper control relay. It's the long black one in the fuse box. While operating the wiper, remove the fuse box cover and jiggle the relay. The terminals can loosen where they are attached to the circuit board inside the relay. Resolder the terminals, or find another used relay.

as i understand it, the washers fire for a few seconds, then the wipers turn on to clear off the fluid. that is how its supposed to work

in this case the pump isn't running so there's a pause where nothing happens before the wipers turn on.

check your fuses first, then check the wiring to the washer pump w/ a multimeter. if you're getting power to the pump but still nothing out of it, check/replace the pump
