an m42 without a chip is like sailboat without wind, it just isnt fun. the extra revs and throttle response are worth it alone...

Put mine in on Monday and have logged about 150 miles on freeway and bumper to bumper traffic. The chip makes a huge difference. The car revs quicker and seems to have more pep in the middle range (2k to 4k) I would highly recommend getting a MarkD chip, I run 92 octane (Highest in Hawaii) and haven't noticed any adverse effects (knocking, etc...). I won't have any dyno sheet to post or anything but from a daily driving point of view, it's the best $200 or so dollars I've spent for my 318is.
