Look Nando you will need to take them off as there is a rubber gasket between the jets and bonnet (hood) then you can put some chewing gum into the holes then get a Stanley knife and cut the chewing gum off for a clean finish, then to get it out you put the jets into the freezer and poke it out with a tooth pick.

But i would buy news ones if i was you! I just got some heated ones which are nice since the winter is setting in here in the UK.

Sorry that was aimed not at Nando but Schneider325.

        Good luck with it.

Does anybody know if windshield washer jets are pretty much a universal shape? I want to get rid of the stupid "2 jets" type the E30 has for one of the nice "fan" squirters like my wife's Blazer has...

            Been here, tried this.....

It comes down to what your time is worth.

You are only gonna need to stick new ones on ONCE. Then it's done.

            Respray a $5 part? Nahhhh.... ;)

I don't see why that wouldn't work, as long as they aren't too big or too small for the holes in the hood. you'd also have to make sure they were spraying at the right part of the windshield as well, but they're so cheap it might be worth trying.

Spray it, clog them, and overspray onto your paint.

Then take pics, I need a laugh.

                    word.

You can also get the colored covers at your Local Rice Store.

I hope that when you paint the washer nozzle, you are taking apart bunch of other plastic parts and painting it at the same time.

I think the easiest way is to improve the look is to just throw on some rubber / plastic dressing on it.

it would cost $5 to shoot them w/ a little paint?

....................how many coats of paint would that be?

shows how much you know. Next time you make a smart comment like that, make sure you have read the whole thread man!

If I were to respay them I would remove them ( no overspray on to paint) I already said I would do this....

One member pointed out how to remove the jets out of the holder.. or I could tape it off. Not hard

I got some fan style ones, they are shaped kinda funky, but they will work out just got to be careful with the positing.

BTW they only came in chrome (where I bought them) so I had to paint them, I just masked the holes.

Fan style > 2 streams of piss style

(Already had the paint for my kidneys) :P

                              Sold it.
