    will it fit?

hey, i have an 86' 316 e30 and am looking at fitting a new rear spoiler. Would a spoiler for an M3 e30 be too wide for my boot, as i have seen one really cheap. Thanks

I am guessing you would have to cut a section out of the middle of the wing or something, and then splice it back together. Anything is possible if you have the money.

Ya, it's probably not worth the trouble. I know someone makes a replica that actually fits the non ///M cars.

this isnt entirely true... i have an m3 wing sitting at home, and before i put it away, i held it up to the trunk lid. if i space it evenly, i have about .25-.5 inches of clearance on each side, so essentially if you just drilled through whatever was there i think it COULD be attached, dont know if its the best idea though.

oh right, ok, would love to know if anyone has successfully done this as i have managed to pick the wing up for around £25 pounds! i think it is actually a replica kit, so maybe it will fit?!

fitting a wing made for the e30 m3 to the standard e30 trunk is not something that will fit. generally, you **might** be able to make it fit with some mods... but the wing is not designed for that boot. I would suggest an m-tech 2 spoiler or other aftermarket part that is meant to work the the standard e30 lid... there are a LOT of m3 parts that will go accross to the e30 without change, but the aero takes work that is not always worth it.. plus, i think the mtech2 stuff fits the standard e30 lines better than the wing....
                    cheers,

if it fit perfectly, it is probably the AC schnitzer EVOIII style wing that is made for the regular E30. I got a great deal on one, and it wouldnt fit my M3.
