i just installed it with my 6 cyl coding plug, and the tach is off, obviously, but i used my 325 spare gauge face and made myself reference marks with tape (since this is temporary), so that's cool, and everything else works, except oil temp obviously, but for some reason the fuel gauge doesnt work at all, like nothing, until i get my new cluster im gonna have to do it by the trip odometer, which blows, but i'd rather have a tach than a fuel gauge, this all all ghetto, but i busted my tach and i just put in a 4.10 60% 3clutch pack with polished gears  and i'd like to know my rpms. any ideas on the fuel gauge?

im borrowing the cluster from work and i dont want to fuck with it. i figured out the problem though. it was "not working" when i installed it becuase i was low on gas. when i went and filled up, it went right to full. i think i know the reason... the m3 had a 12.4 gallon tank, i have a 16.4 gallon tank, so when the m3 gauge reads empty, i'll have 4 gallons left, all is well now.

i would if i wasnt giving the cluster back to work, i dont wanna fuck with it, i can deal with it anyway, ill just put $20 when the m3 cluster reads empty, that's safe. very safe.

Oh yea, bouncing your engine off its revlimiter is faster.
I'm sure you eta motor looses torque when you reach those revolutions.

6200 rpm is 5200rpm which is my fuel cutoff

if you actually read the thread instead of insult me you would of understood that. Do you think because you have a newer and tad bit faster e30 gives you the right to insult me for something I did? I like my eta, and its pretty damn quick in my eyes

You're backpedaling hardcore. First you you insult his setup by saying he wouldn't know when the redline is approaching, then when he proves you wrong, you point out that he shouldn't be redlining the car in general. If you knew anything about gearing and power curves, you would understand that using all of the rev range in lower gears is beneficial anyways.

First of all my intentions were not by any means to insult you. If thats how I came off I'm sorry.
Second I was simply wondering why you would ditch the accuracy of your previous panel for having to decipher your m3 one in order to read it correctly.

                        Sorry for the misunderstanding.
