advise me on a suspension setup

i'm lookin to drop the e30 this christmas... somethin its needed for a long time. I'm basically looking for an aggressive stance for not too much money. Maybe bilstein sports with eibach springs. Also what are those in comparison to koni's or H&R? i'll probably have a 500 dollar budget or so for the parts. thanks alot.

You can get a H&R Sport/Bilstein Sport setup for ~$575. It is by far the best way to go IMO. I have it and love it! I would say that the H&R's are of higher quality than the Eibachs and are better matched with the Bilsteins.

      H&R Sports are seriously soft.

H&R Sport aren't what I would consider agressive, nor low. They are soft and quite possibly more body roll then stock.

Jordan, no offense man, but that's some serious misinformation there. H&R sports are actually running a higher rate than the cup kit.

              It's a good, streetable setup.

H&R Sport + Bilstiens are good for street and beginner track usage. For the exact ride height make sure you check out the suspension height thread.

I've got H&R Sport springs with Tokico 5-way adjustable shocks. I have been running with the shocks turned to the #5 position (firmest). The ride quality is ok thanks to the springs....anything stiffer would probably make it too punishing for daily usage.

That's crap, H&R Sports are just as good, if not better than your cupkit setup. I have them and have zero complaints although if they hadn't come with the car, I would have purchased IE Stage 3's or H&R Race. But there is no reason to diss the sports, especially when you're running a soft cupkit.

I wonder if you'd have posted that same thing if Charlie hadn't made his above post.
